Galostar Ltd. becomes first major brickwork contractors to switch to 100% recyclable mortar boards ♻️
Galostar Ltd are proud to announce that we will become the first major brickwork subcontractor in the UK to replace wooden mortar boards with 100% recycled aluminium reusable boards across all of our sites.
As most of our blue-chip clients look at us to help them take steps to reduce their carbon footprint and address the environmental consequences of the construction sector, we are always working on environmental advances.
Each year 85,000 UK bricklayers send thousands of tonnes of contaminated waste to landfill. Much of this waste is mortar impregnated chipboard. As part of our promise to minimise the environmental impact of single/limited use consumables on our sites we are excited to be working with Grayson (GB) Ltd to take this big step towards sustainability.
Galostar are widely acknowledged as being one the largest brickwork subcontractors in the country, our growth is in part down to our incredibly high-quality control standards and adoption of new technologies and methodologies. By switching to aluminium life-time recycled and recyclable boards we can instantly stop tonnes of contaminated waste going to landfill - a bold and costly step, but one that we, as a top-tier subcontractor, are proud to be leading the way on and raising the bar for others.
